Nozavi's Apps is back with a lot of news and changes, both to the apps and the website. A couple of apps are pretty much in the grave (NatGeo Wallpaper Downloader and Easy Image Uploader), while a new one will be soon released (TV Episodes Renamer). Furthermore, the website has received a major facelift and will provide cool, new features: the new support system is already available, while donors will soon gain access to exclusive areas. Although there has never been a breach, I've decided to make the website and the apps even more secure. I won't go into a lot of details, but the most obvious change is the website's switch to HTTPS, while probably the least obvious one would be that the email address you use to unlock extras is now encrypted with two completely different algorithms, making it close to impossible for anyone to decrypt it. Obviously, the donors database doesn't store your decrypted email, either.
Donors will be able to find in the Downloads section beta versions of their favorite apps, so they can try new features before anyone else. TV Episodes Renamer, for example, will be first launched to donors only and a few weeks later to the general public. Another important addition will be the ability to see and vote which features should be added next in each application.
I've considered continuing the tradition of including a forum board, but for now I'd like to see if the support system can compensate, as it covers both feature requests and bug reports. If a forum / commenting feature becomes necessary, I won't hesitate to make it happen. I'm also considering implementing a newsletter feature (not for spam, obviously, just important notifications), but that pretty much depends on how much the community will grow in the months to come.
That should cover the website; as far as the apps are concerned... NatGeo Wallpaper Downloader and Easy Image Uploader, as I've previously mentioned, are pretty much dead, since they depended on resources which are no longer available. I've decided to keep them around for the time being in the Downloads section as a "proof of concept" until I hear back from you, the community, and decide if I should completely bury them or try to give them another chance.
Most of the other apps - with the exception of TBBL and TC - have been updated to support Unicode and a new one, TV Episodes Renamer, will soon be released. You can read more about it in a separate article. Basically, it attempts to cover some areas which none of the other episode/file renamers have tackled until now.
The apps and the website are still targeted at users with modern, full HD displays. While that has been a problem in the past, I hope things have changed. Nonetheless, if small res versions are requested, I'll do my best to adapt NetCon Manager, TV Episodes Renamer and any other app which might cause problems.
Last, but not least, the Facebook page is still live and kicking, so you can always drop a like to make sure nothing slips under the radar.
Thank you for reading this long post and being a fan over the years! See you around!
