Regarding the apps on this website...
They were all created with Autohotkey
compiled with Compile_AHK II by Ladiko
and the setup packages were created with Inno Setup
(kudos to olfen for wininet-related functions)
Regarding apps in general...
I'm a big fan of quality adware-free software
freeware mostly, for example:
WinPatrol, PicPick, Free Download Manager, Maxthon, Filezilla
but of course there are acceptable adwares (FeedDemon)
and shareware (WinRAR, Online Armor, Game Jackal, EF Commander, Avast)
I'm not a very big supporter of "the classics": Firefox, Opera, FlashGet, Nero etc
