As promised, 2010 came with a new version of Text Cleanser. I consider this particular version to be yet another big step forward after the addition of number removal (that [D] marker I mean). I'll see if I can think of any new additions for future versions, but, for now, version 2.7 is all I needed when the app's concept first "came to me".
What's so important about this version? Well, aside all the bug fixes that now ensure perfect cleansing, a new option has been added with a pretty cool name, I might add: Stealth Mode. By activating Stealth Mode you can easily use Text Cleanser without accessing it. How is that possible? Easy, instead of entering the text into Text Cleanser's main window, the app can now easily retrieve it from your clipboard.
Also, remember that "Automatically fill last used text option" option? If you've previously selected this option, Text Cleanser will automatically retrieve the user defined string, so if your text contains, you can rest assure it will also be removed. In other words, just as if you would have entered the text and pressed the cleansing button. But now you can achieve even faster cleansing with Stealth Mode. How to use Stealth Mode? It's a key combination: CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + X. (I've added ALT to the key combination that displayed the main window)
And so, if you press this key combination, Text Cleanser will process the text in your clipboard and place the clean result back in your clipboard, so you can then paste it wherever you like. It all takes just a second or two. Can it get any faster?! :)
That's about it! Enjoy! |
