Well, it's been almost five months since I last posted an update, but I can assure you I had my hands full. To answer a question I keep receiving through the contact form: YES, I am working on a new version of NatGeo Wallpaper Downloader and it will be done... when it's done :) (that was Duke Nukem/geek humor). For now let's focus on the latest version of System Silencer. I must confess it doesn't feature all the ideas I had in store for it, but Erez Zukerman from PCWorld contacted me about an article, so I had to reach a compromise...
Anyway, System Silencer fixes one bug (a revert option for killing processes was available) and adds two new actions: you can now disable the Aero effect in Windows Vista/7 and change the power plan.
I've decided to add these features last year, when some said System Silencer doesn't include too many power-saving options. Although I never meant to make this SS's priority, I knew a few more power-saving options wouldn't be that hard to implement. If you guys have any other ideas on how to save power, let me know and I'll see what can be done. You'll probably notice I've added two options for the shutdown action. One of them was resquested on the support forum: allowing the user to cancel the shut down process.
As I said in the first paragraph, I have a few other features ready to include in System Silencer, but they'll probably have to wait a month or two, as I'm busy finishing version 3 of NGWD and a few new apps. All in due time, my friends...
PS: System Silencer has a shinny new icon. I hope you like it :) |

Went to see "The Help" and... let's just say it's the best movie I've seen this year. Highly recommended!
