I was planning a System Silencer update for quite some time now, but, unfortunately, not all my plans came true in this version. To be more precise, I was interested in adding the ability to change the status message in various internet messengers, but that's not possible if the app's window doesn't exist (minimized to tray).
Anyway, when it became obvious that I won't be able to fully implement this feature, I've moved on to what are now the cool new features of version 1.3. Since after the release of 1.2, the wishlist remained almost empty, there aren't a lot of these new features, but, hopefully, you'll enjoy them anyway.
One important change is the new action added: the ability to shutdown / reboot / logoff / hibernate your workstation after your computer has been idling for a long time (Hibernation should be very appreciated, I think). One thing I forgot to mention in the app, but I'll make sure I do in version 1.4 is: all of these actions will be forced, to make sure the PC does indeed power/log off. What does that mean? The "usual" shutdown waits for all the apps to exit when sent the closing command. In some cases though, an app might asks "Are you sure you want to exit the program?" instead of just closing. So, this type of apps can put a shutdown process on hold. As I said, System Silencer will shutdown ALL apps (stubborn or not) and will power off your station. So, PLEASE use this options carefully. Forcefully shutting down a PC may result in the loss of unsaved work!
I've also added a few new scheduling options: actions can now be performed after 0.5, 90 or 120 minutes. Power to the extremes, I guess...
Last, but not least, donors will be able to disable the use of hooks. Although it's not recommended, this feature should help people using Input Director and other similar programs.
That's about it... If you have any other suggestions, please post them on the Support Forum and I'll have a look asap.
