Keep your PortableApps.com software up-to-date with Portable Software Updater
As you probably know, most of the programs on portableapps.com don't have an update notification feature or, if they do, it's for the non-portable version (which is not very helpful, right?). Portable Software Updater will help you keep your portable software up-to-date. No need to open each program's webpage every day, waste time visiting the download page, wait for the download process to finish, copy it to your portable apps folder and run it. Portable Software Updater is a freeware program that can help you skip all these steps with just one click!
For each program, the user has five options: Check, Check & Download, Check & Run, Check & Silent Install and Don't Check. 1. Check will just check online for the program's version 2. Check & Download will also download the online version (if it's a newer version than the one you have on your computer) to a folder that you choose (default is the desktop) 3. Check & Run will download the online version (if it's a newer version than the one you have on your computer) and run it 4. Check & Silent Install will download the online version (if it's a newer version than the one you have on your computer) and install it in the background without the need of assistance 5. Don't check will not check the online version.
A free download version of the Portable Software Updater that really works is available here.
1) Portable Software Updater has been and will be intended ONLY for apps listed on PortableApps.com. Any other portable apps will NOT be added to its interface. 2) In some rare cases, ESET (NOD32) may interfere with PSU's download process by deleting the downloaded file. I don't know why exactly and there's nothing I can do about it. If this happens, please go right ahead and download the installer manually from portableapps.com (Sorry!) 3) If at Portable Software Updater startup you receive a message telling you that PSU will not start because it cannot retrieve the remote version, PortableApps.com is most probably down and, therefore, PSU cannot function properly (in case it wasn't already obvious, PSU retrieves versions directly from the official host, not from this or any other server). This only happend once since I've created PSU, but in case it will happen again... it's something you should know.

Went to see "The Help" and... let's just say it's the best movie I've seen this year. Highly recommended!
